1. Great people and partnerships:

Every year we get to spend time with good people, partners who have become friends, friends who have become partners and those who are just friends! Every year GradGuard hosts a happy hour to celebrate these relationships and this year was by far our best ever! Thank you, to everyone who came out and joined us. Thanks also for the free hugs!pablo (15)-1

2. Promoting Professional Growth:

This year we launched the first annual GradGuard Emerging Housing Professional Sponsorship. Our team sponsored @RhettBurden from Academy of Art University to attend the @ACUHO-I Conference due to his leadership qualities and hard work towards promoting student success. Click here to see our inaugural press release and how you can apply to be next year’s winner.

3. Learning:

Having an understanding of the residence life and housing industry is extremely important to us. From informal conversations in the exhibit hall, to conference sessions and socials – the conference gives us an opportunity to learn more about how we can best support our partner institutions nationwide.

4. Giving Back:

Every year we have attended the conference, GradGuard has donated a bicycle to a local Boys and Girls Club within the host city. The donation is submitted in a random conference attendees name. This year’s donation was made by Bailey Steckbauer (@BaileySteck) from Eastern Carolina University. We’re proud to say that six bikes have been donated since we have been attending ACUHO-i!

5. Great Cities:

The Mile High City is a great place to visit and explore some of the beautiful American landscapes. We couldn’t be more excited to visit our neighbors to the north next year in the beautiful city of Toronto!
